Why do multiple schedules of the same vessel not match?

Carriers often share space on the same vessels through some cooperative agreement. Each carrier publishes their schedule for that vessel. Occasionally those schedules do not match because each carrier update to us is happening a different time/day. It is also possible that one carrier many not promote service to a particular port on a vessels voyage plan that is operated by a different carrier.
